Importance of learning through play
When children have the opportunity to play at length, and be involved with others in investigating possibilities and developing hypotheses, they try things out. They have little fear of failure, and through on-going and recurring experiences, they secure brain synapses that form the framework of their learned knowledge.

Over time, their competence increases, and with this they develop confidence in their capability. Play allows children to be relaxed and work creatively, revisit experiences, solve problems, engage with others, and discover an endlessly new world.

It’s important that learning is fun at this age. It needs to be about doing things with them that they like. They might find unusual ways of doing things – for a toddler, building blocks aren’t just for making towers, and paint can be used without a brush! Show them how things work, but if they want to experiment, let them.
Children learn through all their senses through taste, touch, vision, hearing and smelling. They will watch those around them and copy language and behavior.

Our goal at spring fields Nursery is to help children learn to ask questions, express themselves, collaborate with others, and take creative decisions. We also want them to retain their natural curiosity and to never lose the excitement of learning something new. All those things are achieved by making learning fun for children.
